My trip through college has led me down a few roads and this feeling of being lost has followed me down each one like unwanted baggage. I did things that moved me out of my comfort zone and through the uncomfortableness I got a better look at just what my comfort zone is. By some chance of fate, a guidance counselor I almost didn't talk to put me into a pre-law seminar class at the beginning of the year. I was't sure about it, but the more I realized that law was about protecting people, allowing them to live their life, the more I was in. I started to explore the options that come with law school, but "lawyer" was't a career I was particularly excited about. I'm still searching but realizing where I am comfortable at is going to help me take my skills and apply it to a career that works for me and deals with helping people.

"The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath- Review

I didn't find anything about the book inspiring. A women lives her life through a women she can't relate to but she finds interesting. This women then finds herself depressed by the life she lives which she then blames on her being a women. The Bell Jar is a book based partly on Plath's life, Plath is played through the character Esther, whom is also the person telling the story. However, I thought the book portrayed a good view on perspective. Esther's love interest, Buddy, is a med-student at Yale. She finds him impossible but she never tells him what she really thinks, about life and in conversation, and this leads him to believe that she will marry him. She blames all her misfortune and the fact that she is a virgin on him. She hates him but she won't tell him. We see through her eyes that he is not right and we see through his eyes that he is not wrong. Their relationship is a mess because they are not honestly communicating with each other. If I had to diagnose Esther I would say she is too wrapped up in worrying about who she is and not enough energy is being put into the people around her.

One day earth was visited Aliens.
"Please don't eat us!" cried the humans.
The Aliens then took a duck and translated its thoughts.
"We are only animals and food to the humans!" cried the duck.
The alien spoke, "How can you ask us not to eat you when you eat them?"
The human replied, "For us to be equal to you, we must be equal to animals? Well, we won't eat animals anymore then. But, Alien, if we can't eat meat we will lose vital nutrients needed to survive. For our analogy, how then do you get the nutrients you need?"
"You misunderstand," said the Alien, "we eat humans."

Corkscrew mac'n'cheese vs regular mac'n'cheese

Corkscrew mac'n'cheese doesn't stick together and has cheese trapped all the way around the noodle. Regular mac'n'cheese had cheese all in the middle of the noodle and tends to have more in a box. I think mac'n'cheese just comes down to a preference. There is no right or wrong only different. Mac'n'cheese no matter what, unless you are lactose intolerant or gluten free, is amazing for everyone.

What I learned about poetry

• When being introduced or introducing someone else, state who you are and why you are announcing.
• Snow covered town = harmonica

• When presenting a story that is being sold currently stop reading before reaching the climax

• If an old women cried over offensive drawings on trees kids would learn to respect their elders and feel empathy for others.
• Black sweater with colors in it is a very neutral way to dress.

• When you accept racism you are a racist. When you deny racism you are a racist. 
• Invoking "pathos" leads to wisdom.

• Have you noticed that we read wall clocks from right to left?

Vanilla swirl with Sprinkles

Why vanilla swirl soft serve with rainbow sprinkles is the best and only acceptable ice cream combination. First we start with the fact that soft serve is better than scooped ice cream. There is actually no argument here. That is fact. Next is the choice of ice cream. Chocolate is sometimes too rich and strawberry ice cream isn't even a real flavor. Vanilla is smooth with this "creamy" taste without being totally heavy. Last in the toppings. The best pairing with vanilla soft serve is sprinkles. Nothing else quite matches with it. If you're looking for something with more flavor go spend $10 for an 1000 calorie sundae. The only acceptable sprinkle is the RAINBOW sprinkle, none of that just chocolate sprinkle. Rainbow sprinkles or bust I always say. I said that once.

While there are TONS of different ice cream places out there, the only true ice cream place is DQ. Hands down.
