#FreeTheNipple
#FreeTheNipple was created to address the subject of breast feeding in public. Mothers were being criticized and shunned for wanting to feed their babies in the comfort of their restaurant booth or outside at the park. But now the term #FreeTheNipple has trickled down to high school kids. Teenagers feeling prosecuted for being asked to put on a bra are taking to social media to air grievances.

September 16th
I never thought I would miss my small provincial town but coming home after two weeks of being away I never felt more at home. I started to wonder, however, why people move away from the busy city/campus life to the slow suburban areas. There isn't much going on, the streets, while grid-like making it hard to get lost, aren't practical for a fast commute and there seems to be no young adults, only students and old people. So what makes the "country" life a good life. Children and teens only have older adults to look up to when adults remember what it was like in college, not in high school. The middle, young adults of the crowd almost seem non essential when raising children.

Journalism can be taking the wrong train or missing your bus. It puts you in a place you shouldn't have been at exactly the right moment. Journalists are people who make a profit at making mistakes. Journalism could be your first step on the road to politics. But as a journalist how can we report on the sex-life of a women politician more than her policies? How can a man of similar crimes be allowed to run for mayor after little talk of his scandal?
"[...] a woman who works her way through law school as a stripper would have a tough time being elected to the United States Senate but a man who visited strip clubs while in law school would not find that to be an obstacle to the White House."

-Keli Goff, Could a former stripper be elected president?, The Washington Post
What has happened in the past will have an effect on who we are that will affect what we become.
